Dr. Lisa Noguchi is a nurse-midwife and infectious disease epidemiologist with >25 years of experience in maternal health, research, and implementation in the U.S., Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Dr. Noguchi is Director for Maternal Newborn Health for Jhpiego, the global health implementation arm of Johns Hopkins University. She served as Co-Chair of B-PROTECTED, an NIH-funded trial of PrEP and dapivirine ring use during breastfeeding and research director for Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s ANC/PNC Research Collective. She was primary author for the CHOICE Clinical Practice Guidelines for Providing PrEP for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Populations, featured in PEPFAR’s COP Guidance, and technical lead for pregnancy and breastfeeding considerations in the MOSAIC CATALYST study. Dr. Noguchi has served on the WHO HIV PrEP for Women and Girls Committee, WHO Antenatal Care Guidelines Committee, WHO Perinatal Executive Guideline Development Group, and Trans-NIH Plan for HIV-Related Research for Women and Girls Planning Group.
