Boitumelo Molefe is an aspiring early career scientist with a dedicated commitment to advancing Biomedical Research and improving public health outcomes. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, majoring in Biomedical Science from the University of South Africa, where her passion for science and public health intensified.

She is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health, building on over 5 years of experience in data management at The Aurum Institute. In this role, she has been involved in data capturing, analysis, and quality improvement within HIV and TB programs. Her interest in clinical research was sparked during her time at The Aurum Institute, where she witnessed the impact of research on improving health outcomes.

Boitumelo is enthusiastic about joining the clinical trials field to learn and contribute to innovative research. Her goal is to leverage her experience in data management and public health to support the development of new treatments and interventions that benefit patients worldwide. She is proud to join the MATRIX D2D Hub and looks forward to learning more about Socio-behavioral research in clinical trials, including designing and implementing socio-behavioral studies, and identifying barriers and facilitators for product adherence, among other things.

Additionally, Boitumelo is proud to be one of the Track 1 CaSE Alumni in Drug Development from the Matrix, which has further fuelled her passion for advancing healthcare through research.

Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, she enjoys reading, traveling, and cooking or baking.
