Population Council
The Population Council generates ideas, produces evidence, and designs solutions to improve the lives of underserved populations around the world. We take a multidisciplinary, life-cycle approach to ensure sexual and reproductive health, rights, and choices; empower adolescents and young people to reach their full potential; achieve gender equality and equity; and pursue justice in the face of climate and environmental changes. The Population Council is the developer of the Griffithsin (GRFT) fast-dissolving insert (FDI) that will be studied in MATRIX. The GRFT FDI is a discreet, portable, non-ARV, on-demand, user-controlled vaginal insert that aims to prevent HIV infection as well as HPV and HSV.
